Poinard
Kind of got a wild hair on this one. I saw a picture of a specialized dagger that was used against fully armored knights and decided that I needed to make one. It is also sometimes called a Roundel. It is a box, both the handle and the blade are hollowed. The blade is made out of part of a Gemsbok's horn. The guard is Brass, the handle is Lao Boxwood, and the pommel is made of African Blackwood, Wooly Mammoth Ivory, and Pink Ivory. The blade, handle, and Brass guard are joined with 16tpi threads. The pommel is fastened with 20tpi threads. The whole thing is finished with Carnuba Wax. The dagger is 15.5 inches long, it is 1.4 inches in diameter, and guard is 3 inches long. |
